Days Inn by Wyndham Sudbury & Conference Centre

The welcome bag with 2 bottles of water, a granola bar, and popcorn was a nice touch. Staff were great and friendly, and we’d stay again for sure. The room was clean, even the bathroom was spotless, and the complementary breakfast in the bar/restaurant was really nice. The bacon was cooked perfectly. We stayed one night in the king suite #249. Looks like they’re still renovating, but they hide that well. There were items piled in the stairwell, like old lamps and desks /night tables, though they weren’t blocking the way. Definitely bring your own water or pop, since the machines charge 3.50 a bottle. I thought that was a bit expensive.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and decent. Service was excellent. Breakfast was okay, though I wish it had a bit more variety, especially fresh fruits and dairy products. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay.

We were the only customers on a Friday night, and that says something. The decor was generic, with a cafeteria feel. Courses arrived all at once and our drinks weren’t refilled. The wings were overcooked and dry, though the sauces were good. My Smash Burger was just a regular burger, and I’m not sure they know what a Smash burger is. The lettuce was very old, so they replaced it, but the new fries were even worse than the first batch. They were like Styrofoam. Our friends thought the pasta seemed like it came from a package, and the falafel salad was non-luster. It was one of the worst dinners we’ve had in a while. We took the wings home for my teen boys, and even they wouldn’t finish them. I’ve never had such terrible wings and fries. Don’t waste your time or money.

It’s an older hotel, but the staff were SUPER helpful and very friendly. The room was clean, and I had a very good late night bite at the restaurant. The price is reasonable and the location is good, about a 15 minute walk to downtown. Will be back!
