Chinook Country Inn

The beds were ridiculously comfortable, like sleeping on a liquor-induced cloud, and the bathroom was roomy enough that I didn’t knock myself out on the tub while praying to the porcelain gods. We picked this place because it was a good deal and only half a block from the wedding venue. With an open bar, being able to hop back to our room was perfect. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with. We’d stay again.

I travel alone, so feeling safe matters to me. The room looked nothing like the pictures online, and I didn’t feel comfortable staying the night, so I asked for a refund, which they offered. The bathroom fan was coming out of the wall with drywall around it, the door frames were dirty, and there were no individual soaps or other toiletries, just huge Kirkland brand bottles. The beds looked awful, with old linen.

The little extras really show the care here. We had a couple bottles of water and microwave popcorn in the room, along with at least a fridge and microwave, possibly more. It’s also close to all the amenities. We’ve stayed a couple of times and have never been disappointed. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back or recommend it to anyone. The owners should be proud 🙂

I’d never stayed in a motel before, but this one was such a pleasant surprise that I’d consider it again whenever I’m in Sundre. It was spotless and fresh, with a full fridge and cooktop stove. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked, and it was nice and quiet. Complimentary popcorn and water were a thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly and helpful, too.
