Booking for the night was quick and convenient, and it was quiet, with nice rooms and decor for the most part. It's in a nice neighbourhood too. Taking your shoes off at the door is no big deal. Sharing a bathroom might be the one downside, though it wasn't really that bad.

We paid, but didn't stay, and lost the money the owner insisted on keeping. I wouldn't recommend these basement rooms to anyone when the owners show beautiful living and dining rooms upstairs in the ad. This B&B is very deceiving. The lovely accommodations in the listing are used by the Chinese owners themselves. Guests actually stay in the basement, where three rooms share one bathroom, and it smells mouldy.

My room got quite hot, and the ventilation was noisy at night with no way to adjust it. Shared facilities at this price felt pretty expensive.

If you need some peace for a while, I highly recommend Grace Guest House. Enoch, Sarah, Sean and their lovely mother make a lovely family. Her singing career is featured in two photos in the lower living room. Best wishes....

We picked Grace because of the good reviews, but were disappointed. There's no breakfast, and the facilities were poorly maintained. We also shared a bathroom with three other families, and the poor sound barriers let scraping noises through from above.
