Safari Inn Motel

I found this place in an online search for my one night in Swift Current during a south west Saskatchewan tour. It was less than $100 and had the amenities of fancier places. The bed was very comfortable, which is not always easy for me to find in hotels. The area felt safe, and the motel was clean with highway access and lots of food options nearby. A nice young guy is running it now. It's not too dated, and my room at the back was quiet. I appreciate having older hotel options for keeping a travel budget in mind, and I'd stay again next time I pass through.

Really good room, and the showers were the best part. The kitchenette was missing a few cooking tools, but it's a great place to stay when you're in a pinch.

I was here for work for 9 days, after someone recommended this place instead of the Travelodge. The man at the front was incredibly helpful and did everything he could to make things good for me and my coworkers. He even offered to do our laundry. The rooms were kept tidy and clean. They show their age, sure, but they're in very good condition, and at that price I have no complaints. If you're staying in swift on a budget, I wouldn't recommend anywhere more than the safari!

I really liked the place at first when I stayed in October. The room I had on that visit reeked of stale death, though I got a lower rate, probably because of the smell. The soap dispenser was empty. My Mom is trying to live there, and the manager took 5 packs of smokes from her. When confronted, he had a hissy fit and wouldn't pay her back. He doesn't clean her room, and now he's turned off the heat when it's minus 20 or minus 30. He raised her rent by 50 percent and isn't providing basic motel services. She could get a nice place for what she's paying for a motel room.
