We had a very good meal at the onsite restaurant, and the hotel is in a wonderful location. Our room was roomy and clean, though quite basic. The only thing that kept this from a five-star rating was the wait to be seated for both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was only about half full or less, but seating still took a long time.

We came back to Hotel Tadoussac for a four-day break because we’ve enjoyed the beautiful setting before, and the heated pool was a big reason for choosing it again. Now we’ve been told it’ll be closed for two full days because one staff member is off. That’s really disappointing when relaxing and using the facilities we paid for was the point of this stay. I’d like a clear explanation and fair compensation, such as dinner during this visit or extra days on our next booking. The hotel should arrange coverage or adjust staffing so guests aren’t left without a core facility because of staff schedules. This closure needs a fair resolution.

The front lawn has a spectacular view. We spent two lovely nights at this iconic hotel and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the shared spaces were. Our room was also larger than expected and clean.

The breakfast buffet was generous and good, and there were nice dinner options. The place has a cool old-time feel. On a rainy day, it’s just the sort of spot where you want to sit with tea and look out over the town and bay.

From the outside, the hotel is beautiful, but inside it feels very old and there was no service, not even daily room cleaning. We waited a long time to be seated for breakfast, which felt like a school canteen, and cappuccino cost extra. What? Not recommended.
