Penny's Motel & Apres

Ethan and Abbie at Apres made my girlfriend’s birthday extra special. The room had thoughtful little touches and was cozy, and the whole space is uniquely designed. We’re grateful for such a lovely stay and for the wonderful team at the Apres bar. The lavender cocktail and sliders were delightful. We hope to return for the heated sauna and fire pit.

We were very happy with our stay at Penny’s and would gladly come back. We booked at the last minute for that same night, and the person who helped with the reservation was kind and helpful. They texted contactless check-in instructions, which made arriving easy. The room was beautifully designed, the bed was so comfortable, and the individual heater kept us cozy on a cold night. Having a sauna and fire pit made the stay feel special, as did the s’mores kit left on the bed as a welcome gift. We heard there’s also a great bar and restaurant on the property, but didn’t have time to try it. We’ll save that for next time. Thanks for a great stay!

Catherine was so helpful from the start. We were in town for our dog’s surgery at a local vet, and because the weather was awful, they opened our room early so I could travel in daylight. What a decent thing to do. The room was cozy and comfortable for a short stay, with all the amenities except a mini fridge. The bed was warm and comfortable. The motel had a couple of welcome surprises. After a hard drive from Kincardine through terrible snow, I went to the bar, where Ethan and Abbey made me feel very welcome and I could have a beer and something to eat. The surgery took all day and ran past checkout, so Catherine told me not to worry and let me keep using the room. As a 70-year-old man with a disability, I really appreciated that accommodation. I highly recommend this place. It’s reasonably priced for the area, and the service is tremendous. Bravo!

The outdoor fire pits and sauna were lovely, and our room was spotless and really comfortable. We left feeling refreshed and cared for. It’s our second stay at Penny’s, and it won’t be our last. The whole place has an easygoing, cozy feel from the moment you arrive, and the staff are genuinely kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Their hospitality keeps us coming back.
