We got the bed, bathroom, and shower we needed, but the room raised serious concerns. The bathroom was especially disappointing: the molding was eroded, wallpaper was peeling, paint was chipped, and there was a lot of visible mold on the walls and ceiling. I don't know how they can put paying guests in a room like this. It seems like a major health hazard.

Lynn, the hotel manager, was really friendly and helpful. We had clean, comfortable rooms and found some good places to eat nearby. It worked well for our weekend basketball tournament, and we'll stay here again when we're back in Welland.

The breakfast was disappointing, just toast, cereal, and bad coffee. We also had no hot water on Sunday, and the beds were so soft that we didn't rest well. We had to change rooms because the first-floor screen door was unlocked, which felt like a security issue. In the new room, the TV didn't work. The hotel had looked nice online, but the stay was very disappointing.

The front desk staff were so friendly, and check-in went smoothly. Our room was clean, roomy, and had a microwave and fridge, which made things comfortable. Travelodge Welland is close to Seaway Mall and an easy, short drive from Niagara Falls. Great for a budget-friendly stay, whether you're visiting the rowing canal or exploring the area.
