Best Western Plus Nor' Wester Hotel & Conference Centre

We really enjoyed staying here. The scenery is gorgeous, and the shared wraparound balcony gives you plenty of chances to take in the views. The hotel was quiet too, helped by the elevators being at the ends of the hallways instead of in the middle. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean and well equipped. I liked having USB and USB-C ports, and the fridge was huge. The bathroom, though, is cramped: when you come in, the door almost hits the toilet. A bigger one would be a real improvement. The desk staff were friendly, professional, and full of useful information. They can help with luggage, and there's a trolley; the elevators that open on both sides worked perfectly. There is a well equipped fitness room, plus a sauna, hot tub, and pool. The free sit-down breakfast was fantastic and served from 7 am to 10 pm. Vending machines are by the front door, and Inuit art brightens the hallways.

The setting is peaceful and scenic, with lovely grounds where you can take a walk. I also made good use of the large fitness center and pool to exercise and unwind after work. The internet worked well throughout my two-night work stay. Staff made the visit easy from the moment I checked in. The front desk process was smooth, and everyone there was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant team was helpful too, and one of the women gave me tips on where to pick up snacks and water. The room was dated, though. The carpet had an unpleasant odor and really needs refreshing, and the bathroom was tiny. The room infrastructure could use an upgrade in general. The big, modern TV was the exception.

This was our second stay, and we'll keep stopping here. It's a lovely spot outside the city, with a beautiful view, and while it's a little dated, it was clean. The staff were incredible, and my daughter was thrilled with the good-sized pool. The one awkward moment this visit was at breakfast, which is included. We always tip, but we were ready to leave and wanted to make sure they'd received our voucher. When we asked if we were all set, the dining room staff asked us for a gratuity.

Lee-Ann was fantastic and really helped us out during our long drive across Canada. Everyone on staff was friendly. Our German Shepherd and Malinois had plenty of room to burn off energy, so it worked great for traveling with our dogs. We'll stay again for sure!
