The day I was supposed to check in, I got no information at all. I knew it was an Airbnb type of setup with no front desk and was fine with that, but they never sent a condo number or the combination to enter the building. I texted and called without getting a reply, and VISA Avion couldn't reach the property either. I'd booked months earlier using my VISA Avion points because it seemed like a good deal. I had to find somewhere else at the last minute. My check-in was yesterday, and I still haven't heard from them. Do not book this.

I couldn't get into the rental because the owner wouldn't answer my repeated calls or texts, and Travelocity couldn't reach them either. My daughter and I were left outside and had to find somewhere else at the last minute. Travelocity has washed its hands of the problem and says there's nothing they can do. I've lost CDN $260 for a unit I never got into, and that's a disgraceful way to treat a longstanding customer. I would never book with these people again.

The room was filthy, with dirt everywhere and mold in the bathroom. The kitchen was barely equipped: one fork, eight butter knives, and four spoons. The coffee machine had no filter, and the two pots and pan were scratched all to hell, making them a health hazard. On the 32nd floor, our room faced downtown Toronto, so people could see inside. The vertical-slat curtains had sections missing, and we couldn't even change clothes with privacy. Check-in was listed as 3 pm on hotels.com, but on the day itself my instructions said 3:30. I called the number 20 minutes before arrival as instructed and got no answer; my text went unanswered too. Nobody was there with a key, and the concierge said these people never answer calls and leave guests angry all the time. When I finally got hold of him, he said I had to message on "WhatsApp," not call or text. My wife and I then waited 30 minutes for someone to bring a key, and didn't get into the room until after 4 pm. Typical slumlord Air B&B owner. Avoid at all costs.

I had to cancel after getting no response to my calls or emails. They never sent details about which apartment I had or how to enter it. They took my money and left me with no help, which felt completely unprofessional. Avoid this place. Expedia should drop the rental before it hurts their reputation. 👎🏻👎🏻
