The owner was nice, and the location near the subway was good. Parking was included if needed. Still, I was very disappointed. The bathroom was tiny, and even though my partner and I aren’t big, our legs barely fit when sitting on the toilet. The toilet blocked very easily, the carpets were stained, and the walls were dirty and full of holes. The room had no soundproofing, so we could hear everything in the corridors. On our last morning, a cleaner woke us at 8:30 to ask when we were leaving, even though checkout was at 11. I can’t recommend it.

For one night, this was a pleasant, very cheap place to stay. The room was a bit dirty, more lived-in than gross, but it did the job for a night. It might feel too small for more than a weekend. The bathroom was spacious, and having a fridge and microwave in the room was handy. The street was quiet and the subway was just a stone’s throw away. We’ll come back next time we’re in Toronto :)

The owner or renter was friendly, and the location has smart access to public transit. It’s not a bad part of Toronto. The rooms are a little small, but the quality, location, and price were all good. We had a good first impression.

We walked out after just two minutes, and there was no way to get a refund. The room we were shown was nothing like the suite we booked through booking.com, which was supposed to have a fireplace and two couches. Instead it was an old, disgusting room with dirty walls, worn-out 1950s armchairs, and bad smells. It felt like a scam. Don’t trust photos that may have been taken years ago.

The rooms were clean, and the price was just right for a road trip. They’re small, but that’s fine when you don’t want to spend much. Our Toronto trip was awesome, and the owner Garry was understanding when we ran into car trouble.
