For a dorm in downtown Toronto, this was the cheapest I could find. Room 45 on the third floor had air conditioning, a heater, an open closet and shelf, and power outlets. Bring your own power adapter. The room had two old-fashioned bunk beds for four men, with no curtains even though the listing showed them. They gave me a sheet and towel at check-in, plus a personal locker with no security deposit. Staff were attentive and the service was good. Luggage storage was available before the 2 p.m. check-in and after the 11 a.m. checkout. The location is excellent, about 240 meters from Sherbourne Subway, with a No Frills supermarket across the street. There are two decent-sized kitchens, one in the basement and one on the third floor, with four electric stoves, a fridge, sink, utensils, kitchenware, and trash bins. A few drawbacks: it’s a residential building converted into a dorm, and there’s no elevator. Each floor has two old bathrooms, with hand soap but no shampoo or shower cream; there is a hair dryer. Cooking is allowed from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., but strong-smelling ingredients aren’t allowed, so the options are basically salad, instant noodles, soup, pasta, or microwave food. If you cook something that smells, the caretaker at reception yells at you right away, which is really odd. I stayed four nights, 04-08 /Nov/25, and slept on the same sheet the whole time. Luckily, there were no bed bugs.

At least the kitchen area was clean, and there’s a mini mall across the street. Bus and subway service are only a block and a half away. But I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The place was cheaper than a Ramada or even a Quality Inn, and I knew what to expect, yet my room was smaller than the bathroom. The TV and remote were troublesome: there were only three channels, and one stayed frozen all five nights. They advertise laundry, but staff would wash clothes for $10, then I was told the machines had to be thrown out. I ended up walking a mile to do laundry. The sheets looked dingy; I slept on them only because I could faintly smell bleach and figured they’d been washed. The bathroom sink backed up, leaving residue for me to see every morning.

We spent a week in a private room and ended up having a really nice stay, even though we weren’t sure what to expect. If you need somewhere affordable and clean in Toronto, this is a great fit. We’ll definitely return :)

I felt very safe here as a solo woman traveler, and manager Jordan was so helpful, going above and beyond. It’s not a luxury place, but I had a really nice stay. For my quick one-night visit to All Days, I liked having a private room that felt hotel-like, with shared restrooms. There were several restrooms, all kept clean, so it never felt crowded. Each room has its own AC, which was a big plus. I also liked the windows and doors looking out onto the cute neighborhood. There’s a food and RX store right across the way. I’d definitely stay again.

For what it cost, the stay was fine, and this was the cheapest place I could find in Toronto. The location is good, there’s plenty of kitchen space, and everything works, though the building feels old and worn, especially the bathrooms. There were a few issues. Some staff came across with an attitude, though I don’t think they meant to. They seemed reluctant to take credit cards and asked for cash. Despite the good kitchen space, they didn’t really want guests cooking, only making simple food without “smells.” In the four-person dorm, some people said they’d been bitten by bed bugs. Staff were told, but I’m not convinced anything beyond changing the sheets was done.
