The front desk concierge was kind and helpful when we arrived, but the room was filthy. There were hair and makeup stains all over the sheets and pillowcases, and dirt and makeup in different colors covered the bathroom walls. We had no hand soap, and the only chair was broken. The front desk changed the sheets but kept bringing us pillowcases marked with makeup. Food and service at the bar were just as frustrating. When we ordered takeout, the bartender was rude to the other bartender who took our order and said not to do hotel orders. Later, we tried ordering food and drinks at the bar. A rude server said she wouldn't serve us unless we sat at a table, which was fair, so we sat right in front of her, but she still didn't serve us. The table behind us had also been waiting a while and asked the bartender to serve them; she was rude to them too. After waiting 20 minutes while she repeatedly walked past us, we left and ordered from another restaurant. I wouldn't recommend staying here if cleanliness or service matters to you.

We were pleasantly surprised by the room. It had a well-kept, quite posh Victorian-era feel, though my husband had booked without knowing what to expect. Being next to the pub made it fun to have dinner and drinks before bed. Check-in was a bit maze-like but straightforward, and check-out was even simpler: we just left the keys somewhere visible in the room. Room service checked promptly about housekeeping. The stairs could be tough if you're carrying a lot of luggage, but we'll be back.

The rooms were clean and the staff kind. It gets very loud on Friday nights, which is expected beside a popular bar in Toronto's frat and sorority area. We didn't mind and actually enjoyed hearing the students having fun. It brought back memories.

The woman at the front desk was really nice and patient with us when I stayed this past weekend in April 2025. The location was great. Saturday evening brought the expected crowd of frat kids to the pub, but the bartenders were lovely and chatted with us. The drinks were very good. If you like sweet cocktails, try the sour key cocktail. The amsterdam blonde beer on tap was great too, and the food was good. I'd recommend the fish tacos or just some fries. I wish the courtyard view had been better, since it looked a bit neglected, but I loved the hotel and its location.

A good spot if you have a car, with Green P parking right behind the Manor. It was very quiet, and there's pub food next door.
