Novotel Toronto Centre

The rooms are showing their age a bit, but for the price and location I’d come back. They were mostly clean, though I found a couple of towels with suspicious stains and threw them away. The beds were clean and comfortable; the pillows were just too thick for me, which is personal preference. The lobby staff were friendly, the cleaning staff were great, and breakfast and coffee were good. The location is great.

The downtown location made getting around easy, with the hotel connected to the mall and shopping, restaurants, and things to explore close by. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help, and they made me feel welcome from the start. I had a wonderful stay at the Novotel in Toronto and would happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto.

We stayed two nights in a king room. It was spacious and very clean, with good sheets and towels, a comfortable bed, and a huge TV. Breakfast was included and the buffet was quite good. We don’t usually go to a buffet two mornings in a row, but did this time.

The breakfast buffet was the best choice we made when booking. There was a lot to choose from, including eggs, smoothies, sausage and bacon, fruit, yogurt, toast, pastries, cold cuts, and cheese. If something you wanted wasn't out, the kitchen was willing to accommodate, and the pot of coffee left at our table was awesome. We came to Toronto for a show and picked the Novotel for its location near Union Station. We arrived early with our luggage and asked to leave it until check-in, which was no problem. They checked for a ready room and got us in right away. It was clean, had no musty smell, and even had a personalized message on the TV. After the matinee we were greeted when we came back. We had a view of some great restaurants, and chose The Keg right across the street, close enough that we didn't need coats. After supper we swam and relaxed in the hot tub. We also looked around the well-equipped gym, where each washroom had a sauna. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and we both slept through the night. The street is short and quiet, and we didn't notice traffic noise. We'll definitely stay here next time we're in Toronto.
