The room had a handy kitchenette with burners, a sink, and a coffee maker, and the big windows gave us a nice city view. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and usable, though quite small and a little worn in spots, which stood out to me. I had booked a Historic Interior View Room but was given a Tower Room, so I can't compare the historic rooms. The Tower Room itself was comfortable and well equipped. We picked One King West Hotel & Residence for its downtown location and a good Booking.com rate. We needed to be near the Passport Office, and it was ideal, with Union Station, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Financial District, shops, restaurants, bars, and theatres all within walking distance. Our Chevrolet Suburban was too large for the hotel's parking, but valet quickly sent us to a garage around the corner. The lobby is on the small side for downtown, yet elegant and nicely appointed. I had heard good things about the hotel, and would consider returning.

The staff made my birthday weekend feel special, and the food and drinks were great. Our bedroom was clean, neat, and really nice. Such a charming, beautiful hotel. I'd recommend it and would come back.

They even remembered that our previous visit was back in 2009, which says a lot about their concierge and CRM. The place was clean and luxurious, with great amenities and helpful staff, and the Toronto address is especially noteworthy. We enjoyed our stay and won't wait another 15 years to return. Highly recommended.

The fitness center, with separate men's and women's saunas and a whirlpool, is one of my main reasons for choosing One King West. It makes a real difference during a bitter Toronto winter. I've stayed here twice in the past year, both times with impeccable service, and plan to keep booking for work trips. My recent room was 1810 on the 18th floor, tucked at the end of the hall away from the elevators. The full wall of windows brought in lots of light and a great view. Last year I was on the 35th floor. I've only stayed in tower suites, and this one had a small kitchen and washer/dryer, a nice surprise. I would've liked complimentary water bottles and robes, but the front desk gladly brought them up. On my last night I ordered room service without expecting much. The blackened chicken was unbelievably good, and arrived in about 30 minutes, despite being quoted 40-45 minutes because of its cook time. I don't think I've ever had such a good in-room meal. Nazmul, the food and Bev manager, brought it himself and went out of his way to make the stay great. He also gave me a breakfast recommendation for the next morning, which I appreciated.

The meal I ordered took ages to arrive, which was really disappointing. I paid over USD $250 for a king room with a small kitchenette and an interior view that turned out to face a wall. There was no sunlight at all, and the room felt like a dark, dingy basement. The bathroom was only 5'x6'. A better room costs close to $300.
