The Westin Toronto Airport

The lobby and restaurant look great, and breakfast at the buffet was great too. The restaurant staff were lovely. The room, though, looked old and rundown, with worn drapes falling apart, bad gaps in the floor slats, and poor bathroom trim and caulking. The mattress sagged and its coils squeaked. I found long hair in the tub on first use, and the ventilation vent was full of dust. The thermostat wouldn’t switch to cool, and the HDMI cable under the TV couldn’t mirror my laptop screen. Maintenance said it was an old cable setup that couldn’t be used, so why leave it there? There’s no safe or microwave. The elevator also made strange noises going up and down. Everything in the room felt old and worn.

I was at a conference there in Feb 2026 and liked the food. Dinner was good, especially the lamb chops. Add a salad or pasta and it’s a perfect meal. The airport shuttle runs on time. Bud, Magnet Geological

I had several items with me and needed help getting back to our room after my husband briefly stepped out. I’d forgotten the room number. Although the reservation was in my husband’s name, we were both registered guests, and I had our room key card. The receptionist had also just seen us arrive together. She asked for my ID, which I handed over, but didn’t look at it before saying she couldn’t give me the room number because I wasn’t listed on the reservation. I understand why guest privacy and security matter, but the response felt dismissive and unhelpful. I was disappointed by the lack of consideration and thoroughness in the way this was handled. I hope this feedback helps improve how similar situations are dealt with.

We stayed one night before a trip. Check-in was easy, the room was lovely, and the bed was comfy. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant. Parking while we were away was easy and among the cheapest options I found, and the shuttle ride there and back was easy too.
