The Wayside eatery was very good, and the servers DJ, Teresa, Donovan, and bartender Andrea were hardworking and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for the chat, Andrea. Joseph, the doorman and bellman, was also great to talk with and helped us with the shuttle. We wound up here because of an unexpected flight layover. Check-in wasn’t the friendliest I’ve experienced, and my charge was higher than the booking price. A competent clerk corrected it in the morning when we needed a late checkout. The room felt a bit tired, though it’s clear they’re updating things. Construction noise overhead was loud, but we were okay with it. All in all, a good experience.

We stay here three or four times a year during layovers, and the staff and service have always been great. Front desk staff have been excellent for us too. Over New Year’s Eve and Day most recently, Krystle in the restaurant really stood out. With staff calling in, she was practically handling the whole restaurant herself, but she remained courteous, efficient, and friendly to everyone without seeming stressed.

The staff treatment was among the best I can remember at a Marriott. The shuttle driver, front desk staff including Amy, and MClub attendant Abigail were all wonderful. I contacted the hotel before arriving, and they accommodated my special request. Since it was my first time in Toronto, they also gave me useful tips on where to go and how to take the train downtown. The rooms are basic Marriott style and a bit dated. They’re renovating one floor at a time, so they should all be updated soon. Maybe the service felt especially good because I was in Canada rather than the US!

The rooms are nice, and the staff were very accommodating. Construction on the upper floors is going on pretty much all day and is incredibly disruptive. I couldn’t sleep or relax in my fifth-floor room, which made the higher price hard to justify. I appreciated that the staff moved me to a lower floor.

The beds are comfortable, the service is good, and the price is right. The airport shuttle was great, with a friendly and helpful driver. The hotel’s being renovated, so expect some morning noise.
