I tried for months and months to get my husband out of this place and find him proper care and mental well-being. It's been over two years, and we still don't know if he's alive. He left this facility more than a year ago. My husband of 17 years and the father of our daughter went in and was never seen again. I had a COURT ORDER for his well-being and showed it to the staff at this disgusting facility, but they IGNORED IT. The hardship has felt no different from losing a loved one. This facility ruins lives, families, people, and neighbourhoods. It's the most dangerous, unfit, unprofessional, horrid place ANYONE could go. Don't let anyone you love go there under any circumstances. The owner responds to reviews with immature, unaccountable, pathetic remarks. Whoever you are, shame on you for helping bring about the traumatic demise of so many people's lives, especially the children involved. You sound like you need help yourself. I'll keep going until this place is shut down, and I'll stand with the residents of the neighbourhood. For now, we mourn the loss of our husband and father, and the system's failure because of scummy ratholes like this. You didn't help anyone. You helped leave children without their fathers. I hope you never have to experience the suffering and loss these families have faced.

I've run a mechanic business just a couple of buildings away from this shelter for 12 years. This used to be a safe area, and I hadn't experienced problems until the last three years. My cars have been stolen, cars have been broken into, and my shop was set on fire from the back. I went to the shelter to tell the staff, but they said they couldn't discuss anything. I have no respect for this place. I'll file a formal complaint with the city, and I can speak for the owners and residents who don't want this shelter here.

The neighbourhood had been rough for more than 35 years, and this hotel has made the problem worse. Residents have dealt with countless break-ins, stolen mail, and constant harassment from panhandlers. There's more garbage scattered around than I've ever seen. I know not everyone experiencing homelessness behaves this way, but I'm afraid our neighbourhood may not recover. Don't try going to a convenience store or getting gas after dusk. This is not a hotel.

The hotel's glory days are long gone. It's being run as a homeless shelter for the city of Toronto now, and people living there leave garbage scattered everywhere. This isn't a hotel anymore.
