Waterfront Boutique Suites

This was by far the worst Airbnb I've booked. I paid $478 for a suite for my partner and me, but they said there was an issue and moved us to a townhouse flat that felt like a huge downgrade. The place already had damage when we arrived, including a whole missing blind that left the inside visible to people walking past. They also took a $450 deposit, saying it would be refunded if there was no damage. Getting checked in was confusing. The registration link came late, despite what they'd said, and I had to chase two different numbers for information about a booking that cost so much. They wanted photos of both sides of my personal ID and Visa card through an insecure link, which felt shady compared with showing them at a front desk. When I asked when the deposit would be returned, they accused us of having a party with more than 12 people. That wasn't true. There were only two of us, and we caused no damage. We left disposable cups and plates because there were no garbage bags or bins, and assumed cleaners would take care of them after the stay. They're now keeping the rest of my money. I paid a little over $900 for one night, and it wasn't worth it. Save your money or book a hotel. These people could be frauds and scammers.
