Leamington, Kingsville, and Amherstburg are all within a half hour, with lots of places to eat. For winery visits, this motel is ideally placed: there are 7-8 wineries within 10 minutes. The rooms are fun and really well done, and Joe (the coffee shop) is fantastic. If you’re spending time along the North Erie shore, this is THE place to stay. Recommend.

The on-site coffee shop is charming, and there’s plenty of parking. Kingsville, local wineries, and restaurants are all close by, which made getting around convenient. We had room #10, a spacious, clean accessible room on the ground floor. The bathroom was enormous, the shower was wonderful, the temperature controls worked, and there was a mini-fridge. Staff were helpful and courteous from booking through our stay, and made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, as expected, but I was extremely dissatisfied with the noise, especially given the premium cost. I brought my wife here for a relaxing Mother’s Day staycation, and I believe we were in room 14, above reception and the cafe, next to the shared party room. Doors slammed below and beside us day and night, constantly waking us. The doors are heavy and solid, and shutting them made the whole complex shake, vibrate, and carry the noise.

We stayed in the Happy Camper room for my son’s birthday and had such a great time. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the coffee shop cafe had delicious coffee and treats. The retro motel is super cute, close to the water at Colchester Beach, and everything was so clean. Every room is decorated SO cute. Highly recommend!✨🩵

The area around The Grove is really quiet and peaceful, and we were very happy with our mini-vacation there. There are a couple of fun, friendly restaurants within easy walking distance, though they’re not fine dining. You’re in the heart of wine country, with two vineyards walkable and many more just a few minutes away. The rooms are great, and the second-floor one with the HUGE balcony is a beauty. The Grove has all you need in a motel and more.
