Comfort Inn & Suites

The kids look forward to the pool, hot tub, and waterside whenever we come, and we always sleep well in the comfortable beds. Rooms have been clean every time, too. Breakfast is included, fresh, tasty, and has lots of choices. Service and amenities are excellent. We stay here each time we're in town.

My oldest calls this the Discomfort Inn, mostly because the beds weren't very comfortable. The evening front desk employee, though, was amazing: friendly and helpful, and she gave us bandages for the cuts from the waterside. The pool area worried me. The tiles are slippery, a tile came off the hot tub while we were in it (I reported it at the front desk), and the slide has a sharp edge that cuts kids' skin and clothes. The kids' pool was too cold for my youngest. Breakfast was good, with well-made scrambled eggs and sausages, muffins, bagels, breads, three cereals, oatmeal, and a waffle maker. Coffee and tea were available from 6 to 9 a.m., but there were no milk alternatives. They could use another person in the morning to keep the breakfast area clean. The high chairs weren't cleaned during our stay.

The kids were happy with the waterslide and hot tub, and even with a cheer competition in town, the noise wasn't too bad. Breakfast is included from 6:00 to 9:00. The location is handy for Langley and Abbotsford, and it cost half as much as hotels in Abby during a hockey tournament. The rooms are dated and nothing special. The hallway ceiling was broken and the carpet was wet from flooding. The king bed was comfortable, but the pull-out couch was awful. Staff were friendly enough.

We needed an emergency overnight stay while someone was in a nearby hospital. The staff were helpful and very accommodating, and breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable, though hallway noise carries right into it. Being pet friendly without an extreme charge was a big bonus.
