Briarwood Coastal Cottages & Lodge

We spent plenty of time relaxing on the deck and checking out places our friends the Niles recommended. The hosts were warm and shared great suggestions for places to visit. It was such a peaceful, quiet stay. We'd love to return for a week or two and try one of the cottages.

Our dog loved having all that open grass to run and play in, including with the owners' dog. The river view is lovely, and the cottage has clearly had a lot of work put into it. It was newly renovated, clean, and well supplied. The laundry room was handy while travelling, and the bedroom's baseboard heater worked great. We stayed three nights. Kudos to the owners!

The coastal drive is beautiful, and the area is so quiet. Most of the roads nearby have been resurfaced recently. The owners are great people and very accommodating, with lots of accommodation options to choose from. Very much worth the trip.

The gazebos by the water are adorable, and there are fire pits too. The cottages are gorgeous, recently renovated and really clean. With the AC on, they're a perfect break when it's too hot outside. The host is the sweetest with my family and me, and that's why we've started returning every year. Snacks might be the only one who outshines her, such a friendly, adorable dog. This is the perfect East Coast stay.
