Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre

The hotel felt cozy, clean, and well maintained, and the staff seemed to manage it well. Our room had the basics, including a desk, cable TV, and necessities. We chose the place for its convenience, service, practical features, and atmosphere, and it worked well for our family and children. We enjoyed the stay and would gladly stop here again. It’s about five minutes from the airport, with Walmart right across the street and plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and takeout nearby. The booking rates were fair, and the hotel says its rooms are smoke free. There’s also a small gym, a decent-sized indoor pool, a comfortable seating area with a wood-fired fireplace, a snack shop, and a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One thing to keep in mind: a family friend’s car was broken into outside. We’d bring valuables inside, just to be safe.

The airport shuttle is free, and they can get you picked up within five minutes of landing. It’s a lovely convenience, especially since the hotel is less than five minutes from the airport. They also let you leave your vehicle parked there for free while you’re away, which saved me money on a week or two of parking. I really enjoy staying here when I head back to work at the mine. The rooms are nice and recently renovated, and the service has been great. When I called after landing, the front desk even started my Bronco so it would be warm when I got to it. I’ve been coming here for years and would definitely recommend a stay. The staff are kind and understanding, and the shuttle service is great. It’s an affordable place with a nice restaurant and bar, and you can walk to everything nearby. Five stars.
