The lake view from our bed was the moment I’ll remember most. It was like waking up to a painting, with the forest all around and every comfort close by. Arowhon Pines feels wonderfully tucked away in Algonquin Park, quiet enough to leave the everyday noise behind. The people were kind and attentive from the start, and every meal was a treat, far better than I’d have expected so deep in the woods. A lovely place to recharge, with great food and hospitality.

Dinner was a highlight every evening, with three or four beautifully prepared choices ranging from Arctic char to venison. I spent a week at Arowhon with an art group, and the whole experience was wonderful. The grounds have lovely natural plantings, and the dining room feels special, especially with its fireplace at the center. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout. What a great week.

Two nights in September at a comfortable Bridgewood cabin, looking out over the lake. The weather couldn't have been better, and I just wish we'd had longer. There was plenty to do, from hiking and swimming to kayaking and a pontoon boat ride. The staff were really helpful, and the food was amazing. A lovely place to switch off.

We only came for dinner, but the food and service were excellent, and the dining room is lovely. The setting is beautiful too, with lake and forest views in a very quiet, private spot.

The sauna was wonderful, and being offline turned out to be a bonus. We hiked four trails outside the resort, then spent time kayaking and canoeing. For me, an avid swimmer, the outdoor swimming was the best I've ever experienced. We came to reconnect and get away, and this was just right. The food could hold its own against any restaurant, the service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly. Other guests were kind and easy to get to know if you felt like it. If you drink adult beverages, remember to bring your own.
