Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast

I love sitting outside and taking in the scenery, and in the evening guests often gather in the living room to chat with people from other countries. There are no TVs or radios in the rooms, which makes it a peaceful retreat. Dee is welcoming, and breakfast is amazing, with a treat always up her sleeve. This is my fourth stay at Rose Cottage, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in valemount. Book early, there are only three spacious rooms. The beds and linens are divine, and there are all sorts of bath products if you’ve forgotten anything.

The breakfast was quite a sight, just look at the photo! Dee welcomed us so warmly, and we found a cozy, quiet place to rest with lovely flowers all around. Thanks so much for your hospitality, Dee. We hope we can visit your beautiful B&B again!

We had a great night’s sleep in an absolutely clean place, and our host made us feel looked after. We spent a lovely time chatting with her. She shared the story of the bed and breakfast, a little about the city, and some nice hikes to try. Breakfast had several options and a delicious meal she’d prepared. When we arrived around dinner, she’d baked dessert for us, even though dinner isn’t usually included, and set the table when we wanted to eat the food we’d brought. She was such a genuine, kind person, it felt like visiting a relative’s home. We began our BC trip at Rose, cottage bed and breakfast, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a B&B nearby. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was lovely, especially Dee’s stuffed omelets, which are among the best I’ve had, with excellent coffee alongside. Dee and Wendy made it themselves, and we enjoyed talking with the other guests. They had toiletries and linens ready, and the B&B has a warm, welcoming feel, with mountains around it, a lovely porch, a small garden oasis, and wind chimes adding to its small-town charm. We were among the people evacuated from Jasper during the July 2024 wildfires, and our visit to Rose Cottage B&B was more fate than plan. Dee and Wendy opened their doors to us at 1:30 am, when we urgently needed somewhere to stay. When we tried to pay for the room and their unmatched hospitality, they told us, “Don’t bother. Just pay this forward to someone else.” That’s the kind of people they are, treating us as more than paying guests. We couldn’t recommend this little piece of heaven more.
