Yellowhead Motel

The beds were clean and really comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and perfectly fine for what it is. I couldn’t give it five stars because it isn’t very upscale, but I’d go back without hesitation.

I just needed to get warm while waiting for a ride, and this worked well for the price. The room was clean and warm, and had a small coffee maker so I could make a hot drink. It was dated, but cleanliness matters more to me. I sat on the floor with my dog until my friend arrived, and the man at the desk was friendly and helpful. I paid $99 for the dog friendly room and have no complaints. I’d been dropped off nearby after a vehicle accident and had a 3-4 hours wait while my friend drove from Prince George to pick me up. With a dog and freezing wind, I needed somewhere indoors. I searched Google for dog friendly hotels, spotted Yellowhead Motel nearby, and booked because the price was reasonable even though I wasn’t staying overnight.

The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the price was good for what it was. It’s an older motel. I stayed overnight while on my way to Alberta.

The walls are thin, so I could hear the next door guests talking, though they didn’t stay up long. The place looks very 70s old, but inside it was clean and well maintained. We had three beds, with a separate bedroom containing a queen and two more in the spacious main room. There was also a microwave and little fridge. I called directly to book. It’s not fancy, but it was cozy, clean, and a great price. I’d recommend it if you’re on a budget and need extra beds, and I’d definitely stay again. The owner was great!
