Cozy Bedrooms Guest House

The house is an older building and not remotely accessible. If you’re getting around on foot, the location may be challenging too. Redevelopment has taken away local shops and supermarkets in this part of Vancouver, so you have to travel farther, though a ten-minute walk gets you to excellent transit. A car gives you more options. The host is welcoming and keeps the place immaculately clean, and even my single room had enough space. The kitchenette has a hob, fridge, microwave, crockery, and cutlery, plus there’s a shared kitchen upstairs. I’d have preferred a TV in the room. Like many people, I missed the shared bathroom detail on Hotels.com.

So far, so good. I’ve only been here a couple of hours, but I’ve had a nice shower and am relaxing on a comfortable bed in a normal-sized bedroom. There’s plenty of closet space, a heater, snacks and water, a big window, extra outlets with a power bar, hangers, and shelves. Blinds and curtains let me make it dark, and there’s a desk, two lamps, and a ceiling light. I’ll probably sleep well tonight!

The manager was welcoming and friendly, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including access to the kitchen facilities. The Hotel is right in the heart of Vancouver. I’d recommend it for both short and long stays.

Maria, the owner, was gracious, friendly, and helpful, which made me feel very comfortable. Room #1 was clean and spacious. The shared modern kitchen had kitchen gadgets, and Oakridge station, the mall, and a supermarket are all within walking distance. I’ll definitely be back. 🦋
