The staff made my stay feel so welcoming, and I received a lovely special treat because I was celebrating something. My room was genuinely clean. I checked it with my own cleaning sponge, as I always buy supplies to disinfect my room and clean it the way I do at home. There wasn’t a speck of dirt or dust on any surface. When the A/C and bathroom sink needed attention, maintenance fixed both in under an hour. The hotel is in a great spot, with high-end luxury shopping in and around the building. The Hyatt Regency is a two-minute walk up the street, where you can catch a free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Bus and train service are easy to access nearby. The one thing I’d improve is the worn, old carpet in my room. It set off my allergies at night and made it hard to sleep because I kept waking to clear my sinuses. I had no trouble when I was out, only when I returned to the room. I hope they update the carpet in all the rooms soon. Thanks to everyone I met for making me feel welcome.

The hotel’s food was a real highlight, whether for breakfast or a full meal, and I’d recommend dining there. I had trouble with both wired and wireless internet, so I ended up using mobile data, but the rest of the stay more than made up for it. I was back at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on Georgia Street after about seven years, attending a conference there, and was very glad to return. It’s right in downtown, close to Robson Street for shopping and dining, and within a short walk of the Vancouver Art Gallery, Pacific Centre Mall, and the Waterfront and Coal Harbour area. I enjoyed exploring them during my stay. Service was consistently warm, attentive, and professional. The building is historic, and the rooms and shared spaces were clean and well maintained, adding to the charm. I was very pleased with the visit and would gladly return to this classic Vancouver hotel.

The location was fantastic, and it was easy to walk to shops, good food, and Gastown. The staff were wonderful, warm, kind, and quick to respond. They did something sweet for the kids, which made the stay feel special, and when we hit a snag, their response went above and beyond. The bathrooms are a little small, as you’d expect in a historic hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by how much equipment the gym had.

The staff were absolutely amazing and the location is top notch, so definitely five stars from me. The building is getting old and needs some attention, though. The elevator light fixtures and trim need maintenance, and the pool is in rough shape, although a sign says renovations are coming soon. The gym is great, but two machines need fixing: the chest press could use WD-40, and the upright bike’s left pedal needs repair.

Live piano at the bar gave the place a lovely atmosphere and made our 20th anniversary weekend feel even more special. We also appreciated the complimentary car service, which took us anywhere in the downtown area for free. We happily tipped the driver. The concierge team was kind and helpful, and Darcy Le welcomed us at check-in with warm, professional, friendly hospitality. We had a wonderful experience at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
