Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Vaughan

The pool was impressively clean, and my kids had it to themselves. We stayed one night over the Christmas holiday, after New Year's, so it was quiet, with no big hockey groups. Sorry, I know it's not a popular opinion, but hockey parents can be the worst in hotels. Breakfast was fantastic, the main reason we picked this place, and the young man who greeted us was very friendly. The breakfast and cleaning staff were friendly too. We needed two rooms for our three kids. One was incredibly clean, but the other had hair behind the door and whiskers in the sink and tub. I'd brought bleach wipes just in case. I'd stay again, especially because there are places we could walk to.

The free parking and breakfast made things easy and added good value. Staff were professional and helpful, and everything worked as expected. I stayed a couple of nights, and the clean, quiet property felt in keeping with what I expect from Residence Inn. The suite had a full kitchenette, which made it practical and comfortable, especially for a longer visit.

There was plenty of easy parking, plus lots of exterior doors so we could get inside quickly when it was raining. We stayed two nights and found the room spacious, with enough bathroom counter space for all our things. We didn't hear the neighbors or hallway noise. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they were available and easy to find.

The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable, and it was mostly quiet. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, though traffic can be awful or the streets can feel like a ghost town, depending on where you're going and the time of day. Construction outside is the main downside as the city builds up around the hotel. I skipped cleaning one day because I had to work in my room, but they didn't try again the next day, which was disappointing, though not a huge deal. I'd stay again once the construction is finished.
