The price is good, but the bed felt old and too hard for me. There was no light by the bed, just the overhead light and bathroom lighting. The mini fridge had no freezer.

Since the new owners took over, this motel has become our go-to. We appreciate the way Vaughan Inn makes us feel welcome every visit. The rooms are clean, with fresh sheets, nice pillows, and always-new towels. They keep toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and soap stocked, and the TVs work well with lots of channels. The hot water is amazing and works really well. Thank you! We give you five stars 👍💯 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I want to warn people about Vaughan Inn motel. I stayed there through its shelter program, and my experience was bad. I followed the rules and didn't do anything wrong, but the owners seemed to dislike me and kicked me out without a good reason or concern for what would happen to me. I needed the place to get back on my feet. The motel also runs a homeless shelter in the same building as the office. I was told that rooms in that building were for homeless people, not regular guests. I heard they get paid for each person's stay, though I'm not sure of the amount. Manpreet, who mainly works in the motel office, confirmed they receive payment. I think the rate may be $100 a night, which would come to $3,000 per person for a month, if that's right. There are at least 20 rooms in the building, and I understand the government pays for homeless people's stays. I heard they plan to build a big hotel where Vaughan Inn is now. The worst part, in my view, is that they receive a lot of money but don't care about the homeless people, and can discharge them harshly, without regard for their humanity or feelings. The owners say they own the property and act like kings, expecting to be treated that way. They don't seem to care if they force someone out, since another person will come to stay. We were told not to engage with motel guests or let anyone know about us. In the shelter building, we were expected to keep a low profile and not let guests on the other side know we existed. I think the motel would be ashamed of that. An elderly man staying at the motel tried to help me. I guess that upset the owner's wife for personal reasons. He was staying where the shelter guests were. I was leaving my room when she ran toward me and yelled, "Why are you with my guest? Who do you think you are?" She warned that if I didn't stop talking to their guests, I'd be "back on the street" and lose my room. I told her he had come to talk to me and that I had asked him to stop bothering me. I didn't think there was any reason to be so rude to an 80-year-old man. It hurt to have her scream at me and show no concern about my stay. The guest who had booked a room seemed to be the bigger concern. The very next day, after the shelter manager spoke to her about her offensive behavior, they discharged me. They didn't care that I needed the place. It shocked me to be treated this way by people who are supposed to help. They get paid to run the shelter, but seem to think they can throw people out for no real reason. If you're thinking of staying at Vaughan Inn, as a regular guest or through the shelter, be aware. It seems you could be kicked out just because the owners don't like you, even if you follow every rule. Think carefully before going there. If you stay as a guest, I was told that a police officer comes by every other day to monitor the area because of the motel's activities.

This family-run hotel is a good size and sits on the Vaughan and Brampton border. The rooms are clean and well kept, and you can tell the owner takes pride in the place. The water smells a bit funny, perhaps because it's on a well. My main concern was how often police cars came into the parking lot, apparently to run licence plates. Sitting outside my room, I felt watched. I saw no trouble during my stay, so I don't know why they did it. Once, they came by three times in an hour. I've never seen it happen so regularly. I'd recommend the place, but be aware this goes on.
