Best Western Pacific Inn

I spent half an hour cleaning as soon as we arrived, and the wipes were filthy afterward. The room was in poor shape: greasy smudges on the switches, handles, and surfaces, debris in the bedroom corners, a dirty kitchenette floor, splatters on the bathroom walls and doors, and a filthy shower drain plug. There was even an old toothbrush in the nightstand drawer. The bathroom conditioner was empty too. The TV pixelated every few minutes, though that was minor beside the cleanliness problems. The state of the room makes me think cleaning standards here are lacking. Staff need more time and training. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. There's another Best Western "Premier" in Vernon that's much nicer. Avoid this one, The Best Western "Pacific Inn".

Jade helped me get to my room so I could finally rest after an 11-hour drive. She worked hard to help an exhausted loyalty member while still following the hotel's rules, and even brought a compromise to her manager. That kind of effort was heroic. The hotel is a real bargain, and Jade is a gem. My frustration was that the app's hotel policies don't mention the mandatory $100 incidentals hold at check-in. I’m sure I wasn't the only guest to question it, and the initial replies felt pretty rote. Listing the charge in the app would make check-in easier for the front desk. It wasn't Jade's fault the policy was missing, and she deserves credit for handling it so well.

After I got back to Vancouver, I realized I'd left my jacket in the room. Raj and the front desk team arranged to mail it back, and they were patient, friendly, and helpful throughout. Their kindness and professionalism made a real difference. My stay at the Best Western Pacific Inn in Vernon was wonderful. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. Raj and the team were attentive and genuinely caring. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Vernon.

The second room was a little cleaner, but still nowhere near acceptable. There was hair on the shower head, and it was partly broken: one side sprayed properly, while the other shot water out onto the floor. I stepped away for two minutes and came back to a soaked bathroom. We couldn't shower without flooding it. We stayed February 6-7. In the first room, the toilet had urine on it and the beds looked dirty. The room phone didn't work, so we had to go downstairs to complain. We got a quick apology and were moved. That room had been beside the elevator, which mattered because I have a broken leg. The replacement was at the far end of the hall, making it much harder to get to and from the room. Nobody seemed to consider that. We were told a manager would be there the next morning, but at checkout we were told there wasn't one in that day. This was one of my worst hotel stays: unsanitary rooms, poor maintenance, and no real effort to fix things beyond a half-hearted apology. It wasn't worth the money, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.
