Okanagan Royal Park Inn by Elevate Rooms

I saw the owner’s dog off leash and out of control, going after someone. When that person pointed out that dogs should be leashed near town and along a path people use often, the owner yelled at them. He seemed to think the dog could behave however it wanted because it was on or near his hotel. What a junky hotel.

When we came back a year later, the place seemed overrun with homeless people and drug users. Staff hadn’t told us about the conditions, and I hadn’t realized it might no longer be open to the public. We felt really unsafe and uncomfortable, so I can’t recommend it. Our first stay had been a very different experience. The room was clean, with basic kitchen supplies, a king bed, and a large, fairly private balcony with a table and two chairs. The blinds kept the room dark and blocked the sun, and the AC worked well during the 38-degree heat. There was also a guest room and access to a BBQ. For the price, that was a great deal. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help.

We spent two days here with our young daughter and had a great stay. The room was clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The front desk woman was kind, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the balcony in the evening and chatting while our daughter slept. Thanks for the lovely stay and good price.

The bed was so soft we sank into it like a sponge, and neither of us slept well. I liked the room’s appearance and the big balcony, but the bathroom could use an update. There was a coffee maker and coffee, but no cups, which was frustrating in the morning. A better bed would have made a big difference.
