The valet guys were so kind, and I loved chatting with them while we waited for the car. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and great. Staff were amazing and kind, even giving us an extra cookie when we asked. We chose a lower-level room for the cheaper rate, but even the first floor felt like three floors up from the road. The location is fantastic, right downtown and connected to a Starbucks, just minutes from the harbour and other attractions.

We got cookies at check-in, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had lots of features and great views. The location was so good, near the water, Government street, the empress, and lots of touristy spots and nice amenities. There's also a greek restaurant and a Browns nearby, and both are amazing. Probably one of the best hotels in Victoria.

Warm cookies at check-in and a clean, modern room with a huge shower made the stay feel perfect. My husband brought me here for my birthday and asked for a room with a view. We got the top floor, with a big patio and a beautiful 360-degree view. What a fantastic surprise. Thanks for making my birthday doubletree!!! 😊

Warm cookies at check-in are a lovely touch, and the staff are always so welcoming. I visit Victoria at least twice a year and keep coming back. A group of four friends and I have made a tradition of booking the two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite once a year. We're six years into it now, and the rooms have always been clean.

The room was quiet, a good size, and had a slight harbour view. The bedding was comfortable, and the location was handy. But the temperature was preset and couldn't be changed. I run cold anyway, and I was shivering so badly I couldn't sleep. A 15-minute hot shower warmed me up, but I woke cold again and had to take another one before pulling on my thickest clothes. Someone who runs hot might be fine with it, I guess. The hotel said they know some rooms have this problem and are upgrading the HVAC system. I got a brief apology and an explanation. If I'd known I'd be freezing, I wouldn't have booked the Hilton. Everything else was good, and maybe the stay would've been great if the room temperature had been manageable. Still, I wouldn't recommend it while the upgrades are underway. The four-star rating didn't feel deserved, and I'd stick with the usual three-star hotels for now. I stayed only one night in November and was glad it wasn't longer. Now I'm going to have to ask hotels about their HVAC before booking. Jeez.
