Haterleigh Heritage Inn

The hosts really go out of their way to make guests comfortable. The B&B has so much charm and character, and feels as if it's miles from the city even though it's in Victoria. A beautiful gem.

After two nights here, my mother and I would both be happy to return. The room was comfortable and quiet, check-in was easy, and breakfast was tasty with generous portions. My mother has celiac disease, and they accommodated her without difficulty. Mr Chen gave excellent service, and the location is outstanding. It's a quaint, lovely B&B that I think more seasoned travelers who enjoy heritage homes would appreciate. Our original reservation through Booking.com was cancelled without notice, though neither we nor Mr Chen had initiated it. I emailed to ask if we could keep the booking, and Mr Chen was kind and quick to respond.

Water, soft drinks, and coffee were available free all day, which made us feel well looked after. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a wonderful start to the day. We also loved the charming B&B's warm atmosphere and comfortable stay. It's close to the fishing harbor and only a short walk from the city center. Highly recommend for convenience and a welcoming feel.

The house is beautiful, and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived early because I had a wedding to attend at the usual check-in time, and he let me check in early. Booking.com had accidentally cancelled my reservation, but the property reached out and helped sort it out. There were lots of little amenities that made things easier. My bedroom had an Asian style bathroom, which worked for me and felt familiar, though it might be a culture shock for some. The old house does have its drawbacks, with squeaky floors and thin walls in some parts. I was very happy with my stay.
