Metro Inn

After just a few days there, the bedbug infestation was so bad that we had to throw away most of our treasured belongings. The photo was taken after we moved to another hotel, where a last-minute booking cost us an extra $500 per night.

I saw some reviews saying the people at the inn looked intimidating or unusual. Some staff do have tattoos and a distinctive style, but they were incredibly kind and helpful the whole time. From outside, the inn may not look especially modern or fully equipped, yet our room had more amenities than I've seen in many other places. We could even cook our own meals, which was a big plus. Despite the negative reviews I read, this would be my first choice if I visit Victoria again.

The guy was great and gave us good recommendations, BUT THERE ARE BED BUGS. I have so many bites and have been in the hospital ever since I got back from my trip. I strongly urge him to get treatment for the bed bugs. Otherwise, I can't recommend it at all.

The manager and staff were friendly and helpful, and when we found live bedbugs in the pull-out couch shortly after arriving to settle in for the evening, they gave us a full refund. They also let us check out late so we had time to take our things to a laundromat, which we appreciated. Still, they seemed to be planning to rent out the room the next night without bringing in an exterminator first. I'd be cautious about staying here unless you're looking for a buggy pet.
