Travelodge by Wyndham Victoriaville

Three stars is generous. The room and bed were clean, and the ice machine worked, but the AC and TV didn't. The place smelled damp, and the receptionist gave us the wrong room. After we tried our cards for three minutes, someone opened the door from inside. The room was occupied. None of the electrical outlets had covers, like at every damn hotel out there. Why is that, anyway? They offered breakfast, but Coco Frutti was next door, so we went there instead. I'd pass on this place if you have other options.

The included breakfast was okay: fruit, bread and bagels to toast, cereal, and some pastries that came out as we were leaving. Our first room had almost no working lights, but the staff on duty that night quickly helped us switch rooms. They were friendly and informative, and the rooms were fine. I'd definitely stay again if I passed through Victoriaville.

We liked it enough to stop here again on our way back from Tadoussac. Check-in was late, the staff were polite, and the croissant was the best I've never had!

This hotel was a nightmare. It was nasty, with peeling walls, stained carpets, and drug activity. As soon as I went into the room, I got my family out of there. We found a nicer hotel down the road for an extra $50 a night, and it was well worth it.
