The room and staff were great during our recent stay, but I had a concerning card issue shortly after checking in. Not long after I used my credit card there, someone tried to make a purchase, and my bank caught it. It was the first time I'd used the card that day. The hotel said neither it nor its system was involved. Keep an eye on your card charges.

I booked a room that turned out not to be bookable: 12 hours later, they called to say the hotel was closed until January 2 because they didn't want to pay staff without full bookings. My reservation was nonrefundable, even though I shouldn't have been able to book while they were closed. Not impressed.

There was a lot to like, including a large breakfast spread with a few gluten-free choices like cereal, yogurt, fruit, and eggs. They even had board games. Our room was clean and quiet, with a king bed and an unusually roomy layout. The blackout curtains were some of the best I've seen in a hotel, and there was space to park our U-Haul truck and trailer. I'd definitely recommend it.

The gym and jacuzzi were easy to access, felt healthy, and had no chlorine. The beds were so warm and cozy I didn't want to get up in the morning. It was a really nice, comfortable hotel.

Pierrette, the GM, was especially lovely to deal with and clearly hands-on with the day-to-day operations. The staff were attentive and well dressed, and both the rooms and common areas were clean. A great stay all around. I'll stay again.
