We got a quick free breakfast from 6 to 9 and headed out early. The room had a fridge and Keurig, though we didn't use the shower. It was cold all night, even with the thermostat turned up. The heat came from baseboard units and seemed to have no individual control, so the thermostat felt like it was just for looks. We slept in our hoodies and were still chilly. The old toilet lever hit the tank lid and wouldn't flush fully, so I left the lid off until we checked out. The room had both inside and outside access, with parking right outside, but we had to walk through a snowdrift to get to the door. The lot was sheer ice, and we nearly slipped a couple times. We booked online while passing through on Christmas night. The staff were polite when we rang for service and checked us in, and gave us a box of chocolates. The ice and snow were a hassle, though it was Christmas Day.

I found bedbugs and felt the hotel handled it badly. Around 11 a.m., a man knocked and called out “housekeeping.” I invited him in, but he said he'd come back. I called the front desk to check that it was really housekeeping and not a security concern. The woman there said he'd gone to room 204 by mistake and said she'd alert housekeeping to clean my room. A woman came and serviced it. About 30 minutes later, the man returned with a woman. They said they'd come back later, and when I asked what was going on, he eventually said they'd found bedbugs in room 204 and needed to inspect my room, 207, three rooms away in the same building. There was obvious tension between them, and it felt like they were hiding something. He sprayed the bathroom and kitchen floors with what I assume was pesticide. It left them sticky. The floors had been sticky for a couple of weeks, but I'd assumed housekeeping was using too much Mr. Clean. I had been walking barefoot on whatever it was without knowing. Earlier that week I had bites on my finger and thigh and thought they were mosquito bites. Now I was afraid they were from bedbugs. He didn't inspect the bed, just sprayed those two floors. That inspection and attempted treatment were nowhere near adequate. I asked the front desk for loonies because I now felt I had to wash everything and throw out my suitcases. The woman there tried to deny the bedbugs and demanded proof, apparently unaware the man had admitted what was in room 204, even though she'd told me earlier he was looking for that room. I was furious about the lies, the attempt to hide what was happening, and having poison on my bare feet for who knows how long. I asked for $200 to cover my two large suitcases, which I felt I now had to throw away. They treated me like I was trying to lie and extort them, and said they'd claim I was lying if I posted a review. They didn't call an exterminator or properly inspect my room. I was going to visit family right after this, and my whole home could have been contaminated. I lost a full workday and two suitcases, and felt treated like a villain for raising the issue as reasonably as I could. Covering the suitcases seemed like the least they could do. I can't share a photo of the bite on my upper thigh, but I have one of the bite on my finger. The bathroom isn't properly sealed and may have mold. My husband and I have both had breathing problems since we arrived. I first thought it was the A/C, but now wonder if it was the pesticide. I believe the other posts about bedbugs. These people will lie to you. Don't come here, for your own sanity.

There was a good variety at breakfast: ham, waffles, boiled eggs, potatoes, toast, yogurt, and cereal. I wished I ate breakfast! The Keurig in the room was appreciated, and the pet fee was only $12.00 per pet. There's a big field behind the motel where our dog could do her business and go for a walk. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and we thought it was good value. We'd stay again.

The shower pressure was amazing, and breakfast had far more than we expected: waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, muffins, yogurt, and cereal. We came to Weyburn for a ball tournament and booked The Perfect Inn at the last minute because it was cheap. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Check-in took less than three minutes. I'd definitely come back.

Breakfast had enough choices that even a picky eater could find something. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff wished us a great day every morning. Our only small issue was a broken air conditioner, but they dealt with it right away and moved us so they could fix it. I'd absolutely stay again if I needed a clean room at a fair price in Weyburn.
