#27 Valhalla

I own a timeshare here. The units are big and the location works well, right across from Fresh Market. It’s outside the Village’s main hub, so nights are very quiet. There’s also a hot tub and an outdoor BBQ.

There’s plenty of room for shoes, coats, and other things, and the kitchen is well equipped. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy. The dryer doesn’t dry things thoroughly, but there’s a clothes airer. The place is on the older side, right down to having a DVD player, and the latch on the front door is broken. There are lots of outlets, but most are loose, so my travel adapter kept falling out. The underground parking was near unit #14, though there’s no lift up, something to keep in mind with heavy or bulky bags.

The unit was comfortable, clean, and easy to get into, and the unit details are available through QR codes. There’s a free shuttle to the lifts right across the street, and the neighbors were friendly. I’d definitely come back. The stairs are very steep. The unit’s hot tub was also uncomfortable and so heavily chlorinated that it burned our bathers’ skin.

I always book Valhalla when I travel to Whistler. The condos are close to the village and village market, with easy access to Blackcomb and the ski and bike trails on the mountain or behind Alta Lake. Once in a while, a curious bear may wander in looking for food, which can be an entertaining moment. Cheers.
