The Ritz Cafe and Motor Inn

The breakfast was good and the staff were really friendly. The rooms, though, were pretty dirty and smelled strongly of cigarettes. For the price it’s not bad, but it wouldn’t be my first choice, especially for a family.

My family and I used to eat here many times a week, and I’d known the manager, Greg, for years through my work as the business’s internet provider. I thought of him as a friend. After what happened, I wouldn’t go back. On our last visit, my elderly mother ordered tea and asked the waitress, Jenny, to put the teabag in the pot. Jenny refused, saying she wasn’t allowed, and was very rude. She even threatened to have my mother banned over that request. When we came in for breakfast the next morning, a waitress told us my mother had been banned. I spoke with Greg, who said she had been rude to Jenny. That’s a total lie. Jenny was a loudmouth, lazy waitress. Don’t go unless you want to be treated like garbage. If Greg treats friends this way, imagine how he’d treat a stranger.

I’ve stopped here for breakfast a few times. The food was good and came as ordered, though the waitress wasn’t very friendly.

A worker had their belongings stolen in a break-in, and the business did nothing to help. The camera system is fake, apparently, so I’d strongly recommend staying away if you want yourself and your belongings to be safe. It seems suspicious that only his things were taken, with the TVs and everything else untouched. They even called him asking why he’d ripped his door off. Don’t stay here.
