Inn on the Lake

The northern lights views were fantastic, and the lodge arranged shuttles into town. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were wonderful and accommodating, and the food was great at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a three-course dinner each night. We had a lot of fun on the snowmobile and ice fishing tour. They also lend you plenty of winter gear in different sizes, which you’ll need if you’re there in winter. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious, and the staff were amazing during our two-night stay. We stayed in one of the lodges rather than the main house, and loved the experience. It’s near the lake, which freezes over and makes a perfect place to look for northern lights. The one bit of feedback I have is about the hot tub: it seemed like it might not get used very often, and we found a little fluff in it. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it!

We stayed in the Executive Jacuzzi Suite as part of the Northern Lights Autumn Package in late October 2024, and had a fantastic time. The suite is by itself on the inn’s second level, so it felt especially quiet and private. The room was spacious, with an average-sized bathroom and a small private deck facing north over the front of the property. We liked the peaceful setting away from the city and the back porch overlooking Lake Marsh. Meals were incredibly tasty, though a little small in portion size for my liking. They’re served at a big shared table, which gave us a chance to talk with guests visiting from around the world. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. We’d happily stay again if we return to the Whitehorse area, and would recommend the inn to others.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast is good. You can also order the set-course dinner, which is delicious and gourmet quality, made with locally sourced ingredients. For a couple of days in Whitehorse, this is a great place to stay right on a lake. The private cabins are fully self-sufficient and have room to share with family or friends.
