We enjoyed getting some exercise on the walk behind the motel, where we could take in the river view up close. From the room, the view was great too, and the air conditioning made this a surprisingly good option when we were in a pinch. The place is basic, but clean, quiet, and well maintained. The towels were really old, though. Replacing them would lift the standard quite a bit.

You can see the lake right from the room window, and the price is very good. The owner was friendly and clearly attentive to security, walking around and checking the area for problems at 11.45pm. The place has a bit of a seedy feel, but it was still perfectly fine. Pretty great stay overall.

I’ve tried the two places next door, but this is the one I’d choose now. It’s usually quieter, probably since it’s tucked out of sight from the road, and the hosts are friendly. The rooms are clean and the rates are attractive. It’s basic and not as fancy as Drummond or Lakeside, but I was very happy here. Watch for the red Valleyview sign.

Management were kind and went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. The Valleyview is quiet and clean, with reasonable rates.

For motorcycle travel, it worked really well to park right outside the room. The room was clean, the view was awesome, and the price was reasonable.
