Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg South

The staff were super nice, and the room looks better than it did before, after what seems to be some renovation work. I used to stay here before the pandemic and decided to come back. It's in town, right where I need to be for business, with several kinds of restaurants nearby. You need a room key to get to different floors, which I don't like because I want delivery brought right to my door. The Wi-Fi can also be unstable sometimes. Still, it's a very, very good hotel.

It's easy to reach from the perimeter, and there's a nice park just northwest of the hotel for walks. Getting downtown from here is slow, though. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but pretty average for what we paid, so I felt overcharged. A towel rack outside the shower would be a simple improvement. Restaurant staff were friendly and did a great job, but the portions seemed a bit small for the price.

The newly renovated restaurant is a must-visit. The new seating area feels cozy and inviting, and the place is really relaxing. Food and drinks are five-star, and the service is outstanding and welcoming. We visit the hotel bar and restaurant often. It's a hidden gem!

The free coffee and tea in the morning were helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. The room was good once we got the one we had requested, but I don't understand why they didn't give it to us at first. They assigned us an accessibility room we hadn't booked. The staff insisted that was in our reservation, so I had to show them the confirmation and argue. Then they said our profile had accessibility as a preference, which made no sense to me. When I asked to move, they claimed they were fully booked and offered only a room with two queen beds, with a move the next day. I was displeased and said I'd cancel if they couldn't provide what we'd requested. Only then did they say they had the room we wanted after all, and we didn't need to switch later. It felt unprofessional, like they were trying to give out less popular rooms first. They should have honored the original reservation.
