Inn At The Forks

The Smith restaurant is a big draw here, and the chefs are excellent. There’s no pool at the hotel, but the managers arranged free visits for guests to the Assiniboine athletic club. It’s a beautiful facility built in the 60s, just an 11-minute walk away. I had a nice swim, enjoyed the hot tub, and relaxed in the super strong steam room. I really appreciate the arrangement, and highly recommend it to anyone who likes to swim.

The hotel’s location near the Forks was our main reason for choosing it, and it was worth the price. I liked the design, our room was clean and modern, the view was nice, and the staff were friendly. They greeted us in the lobby with good mornings and good nights, and there were cookies and a note waiting in the room for my birthday. Such a sweet touch. We booked a standard 2 queen room with a 15% off promotion. After taxes and fees, including $22 for parking, it came to $213.15 for one night. We didn’t dine in the restaurant or use the spa, though it was nice to have those options. Live music from the restaurant could be heard in the lobby. My only critique is that the beds and pillows were definitely on the softer side.

The meeting rooms worked well for their purpose, and I enjoyed the meals and the view from my window. I was in Winnipeg on a business trip and loved this hotel. The room was clean and well kept, and the front desk and every other staff member I met were excellent. It was also quite near the Forks market, with lots of places to eat and shop for little souvenirs.

The room was clean and incredibly quiet, and we felt very safe in it. The beds were very soft, and we were very satisfied with our stay. We chose this place because the location was convenient.
