The food was good, and our server was great. The lunch buffet was about $20 per person, and I have no complaints about it. The receptionist at Gort dining could use a little personality training, though. I'll still come back for the food.

The big renovations years back made a real difference. It's clean, modern, and accommodating, and I usually come for business seminars rather than to rent a room. Joes sports bar is okay and gets the job done, though it's small, can feel cramped, and looks a bit outdated.

Joel at the front desk was accommodating when I asked to move because my original room was too close to the highway and had a lot of road noise. He found me a quieter room. It was newly renovated and clean, though the hallways and lobby could use an update. The location is about a 10-minute drive from the airport and close to Polo Park shopping centre.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jodi at the front desk, who was always there to answer my annoying questions. Jack, who seemed to run the whole show, and Chantel, always smiling at everyone coming into the bar area, stood out too. The pool area was great, breakfast was super, and the room was comfortable. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable place to stay.
