The new owners seem to have a good vision for this place, and they were incredibly friendly, caring, and welcoming. Hospitality here was on another level. The heritage home is beautiful and feels really fancy, with large shared spaces full of things to do, like board games and karaoke. The bathroom was luxurious too. There are renovations going on. My only issue was the stairs, which needed repair and were so loud that using them at night could wake other guests. It looked like the work was underway, though, so that may be fixed by the time someone reads this.

We had a lovely stay at The Columns. Our room, Henry Moore, came with a small balcony where we could sit and relax. Josh was a friendly host and made tasty breakfasts, and the house is beautiful, set in a nice old neighbourhood. It's close to downtown, so getting around the city by car was easy. The price is about the same as a downtown hotel, but the atmosphere here is much more relaxed. Our room didn't ventilate well and got stuffy in the heat, which is the one thing keeping me from giving five stars. I'd highly recommend The Columns when you're in Winnipeg.

We've returned to The Columns several times over the past few years, and every visit has been memorable. The owners are always enjoyable to spend time with, and the old house has a rich, welcoming feel. Despite its age, the rooms have consistently been clean and well maintained, with excellent amenities. The breakfasts have been top quality every time. My wife works at a gourmet food store, so we have high standards, and we've never been disappointed. We can't wait to come back.

The hosts make this bed and breakfast feel cozy and welcoming, like a home away from home. The estate is lovely, with a large backyard facing the river, and breakfast in the morning is both delicious and filling. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and a trail by the backyard for morning hikes. I'd definitely return.

The owners were very accommodating, checking in whenever we came or went to see if we had what we needed and were enjoying the stay. Our room was cozy and well stocked. Renovations were underway while we were there, though the rec and games room was mostly finished.
