The kids were kept busy with ping pong, dancing in the dining room, and time in the fantastic pool. Breakfast was a lovely start to the day, and we enjoyed the fresh, delicious food at the restaurant too. Our cabin was spotless, cozy, and clearly well cared for. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever had at a hotel or resort. The staff were warm and attentive, and the lake views and grounds were stunning. A real 10/10 for us. We’d come back in a heartbeat, and it made for a fun, relaxing family getaway.

The winter recreation options were amazing, and the food really impressed us. We visited in January and are already looking forward to coming back. Stoney Lake is such a beautiful setting, the property itself was stunning, and the staff made us feel welcome.

We spent New Year’s Eve here with our two dogs and had a great stay. The restaurant food was enjoyable, and the service from the professional, delightful staff was excellent. The lake views are beautiful, too. It’s a lovely choice for a quiet getaway, especially if you need a dog-friendly place.

Newly engaged couples should be cautious. The communication had been positive, including that morning, and we were ready to sign the contract and visit the venue that weekend. Then, with no warning or explanation, we were told we “wouldn’t be a good fit for the venue.” The sudden change in tone felt unprofessional, disorganized, and rude. Our only unusual request was a flat rate for guest rooms. That would have put us $2,940 above their accommodations minimum and made booking simpler for our guests. We were also prepared to put down $3,000 and guarantee the rooms. Since no reason was given for why we “weren’t a good fit,” I can only speculate about the cause. I’d also advise checking every estimate carefully. We found several discrepancies and not much detail, which could have caused problems later.

Dogs are allowed, which is a big part of why we love coming here. Marley, our black Lab, has a great time swimming and running around the big dog park every visit. There’s plenty for my two boys to do, from ping pong to tubing, and the fishing is great too. My wife likes reading on the beach and paddle boarding whenever she wants. Breakfast is included every morning, and the bar in the dining lounge has lots of local beers. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
