I really liked the hotel, especially the excellent room service and the restaurant inside. The sheets were clean and smelled lovely, and the room itself had a very pleasant smell. They also provide complimentary water, which is a nice touch. The rooms are good too. The shower and bathtub weren’t to my taste, and at times it was a bit complicated because the reception staff didn’t speak very good English. Contactless payment may not work on their machines depending on your card, though mine went through. Those were my only real issues.

My stay was pleasant. The hotel is clean and well maintained, with a central Gombe location that makes it easy to get to several places. The front desk staff were very professional and speak English.

Two years after my first visit, I returned to Hotel Memling and found the same consistent care and quality that made me want to come back. The pool was the highlight again, a calm escape from the busy city where I could lounge or take a refreshing swim. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ready to help, just as they had been on my first stay. I also appreciated the restaurant’s thoughtful gesture when I had to check out at 5 am: they prepared an early breakfast box for me. That care, along with the ambiance and attention to detail, made the stay memorable. I’m already looking forward to returning. Thanks to the whole team.
