Hilton Brazzaville Les Tours Jumelles Hotel & Residences

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, though the food at the rooftop rotating restaurant was great. The rooms are world-class in quality, and this is easily the best hotel in the city since Hilton took it over. It sits on the edge of town, a drive from the main area, so I’d suggest arranging a private driver. Taxis can be hard to find.

From the high floor, the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows gave me a view of Brazzaville I hadn’t had before. Our one-bedroom suite was better than expected, with a comfortable, well-furnished living room, a roomy bedroom, and a quiet office for work. I also loved the big soaking tub and rainfall shower. The spa was peaceful, and our massage therapist clearly knew her work. We came for a formal event, and management worked closely with the organizers to keep things running smoothly. A few small opening-week issues came up, like no room service menu in our room at first and missing signs in a couple of spots. The menu was brought quickly, and there was always a helpful staff member nearby when we needed directions. Those snags were minor and sorted out fast. The staff were patient with my beginner French, and someone who spoke English was available when I got stuck. Hilton-Brazzaville had only opened that week, but they’d done a spectacular job with Hotel Les Tours Jumelles. I’m glad it’s here for visitors and for a getaway close to home.

The few food choices on the 30th floor are really good, especially the Peanut Chicken, though I’d welcome a wider selection. It’s conveniently near the Kinshasa-Brazzaville beach crossing and not too far from the Airport. Great hotel. Pro tip: ask Jonathan to make you a Milkshake.

I had a great stay and enjoyed the whole experience. Palina, the talented and beautiful saxophone player, was especially lovely and kind. I’d love to hear her play again soon. Cheers to Hilton!
