Our room was roomy and beautiful, and everything was clean and working properly. The balcony view made the visit even better. We had a wonderful stay, though we found the laundry and sauna a bit hard to figure out.

After the expensive, crowded mass tourism in Grindelwald the day before, this quiet hotel in Aeschi was a very welcome change. We liked it enough to add another day. Our clean room had what felt like brand new furnishings, plus a bedroom, living area, kitchen and dining space, and two balconies looking out over the lake and mountains. The shower was the best I’d had in days. The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, and there are a couple of restaurants an easy walk away along with two grocery stores. We also really enjoyed the nearby hiking trails. We’d gladly recommend Aeschi Park Hotel.

The apartment had a roomy lounge, dining and kitchen area, plus a separate bedroom. Its new bathroom was lovely, though the rest of the rooms felt a little dated. We had a wheelchair user in our group, and both the room and shared facilities were accessible. The hotel sits centrally in Aeschi, in two linked apartment blocks with some shared spaces. The views over the fields toward the lake were nice, and breakfast was satisfactory with plenty of coffee. We stayed in August. The place was a bit idiosyncratic, and we got supper from the nearby supermarket, though there’s a takeaway opposite and a restaurant next door.

A very enjoyable stay, with clean, nice rooms and an amazing location and views. The staff were kind and helpful, and the service was perfect. Many thanks to Wioleta for helping us during our visit. Staff understand Polish, which is a great plus for travelers from Poland. I can definitely recommend staying here.

The room was only okay for what we paid. The bathroom was tiny, its door was broken, and five of us had to share one sink. One shutter wouldn’t open, so the room felt dark and stuffy. For CHF 350 for one night in a family room at a supposed four-star hotel, this was a huge letdown. Parking was confusing and hard to find, and when we arrived the reception desk was empty for about 10 minutes. We were also disappointed by the lack of flexibility around breakfast. We had to leave early for the Niesen stair race, but although breakfast was included, staff said they couldn’t prepare anything ahead, not even to-go bags. They blamed us for not asking earlier, which felt especially unfriendly given how obvious it seemed that many guests would be taking part in this major local event. You’d expect some preparation or at least understanding. Poor service and broken amenities, and definitely not worth the price or what you’d expect from a four-star hotel.
