Prize by Radisson, Zurich Affoltern am Albis

We felt well looked after here. The service was friendly and professional, and the spotless, well-equipped rooms showed real care with cleanliness. The hotel is in a convenient but quiet spot that worked well for families. For what we paid, the quality was outstanding. Such a great find!

Breakfast was included, but on both mornings we got there around 8 AM and found nothing available. The coffee machine wasn't working, and there was nobody at reception to help. Our room was in bad shape too: mould covered the bathroom and the bedsheets were stained. We emailed asking for cleaning, but the hotel completely ignored us. For a supposedly reputable hotel, the hygiene and service were shockingly bad. We paid for a comfortable, family-friendly stay and instead got filth, neglect, and no support. The photos show what the room looked like. Our two-night stay at Prize by Radisson, Zurich Affoltern am Albis was a nightmare. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The stay itself was cozy, but I really don't understand why our group was treated differently when we'd paid for breakfast. They kept the selection very limited for us, with nothing from a European breakfast and not even eggs. Our friend noticed the breakfast items were being kept from us and asked, then they served them. The coffee machine had a broken label, but when he challenged them, they took the label off and the machine worked. We hadn't misbehaved at any point. Who does that?

The heaters didn't work during those cold nights, and there was no phone in the room to reach reception or housekeeping. For basic things we had to go all the way down six floors. They'd run out of coffee sachets, and the paid machine by the entrance charged my card twice when I used it twice, but dispensed no coffee. They later admitted it was faulty. Breakfast had no variety, and at reception the guy asked us for 20 Euros for an extra blanket even though they'd switched off the heaters. I booked this for New Year's Eve with my family, and the stay was horrible. Such an expensive hotel with zero facilities or amenities. I can't believe this is even a Radisson. They're fraudsters, and I'll never book this disgusting hotel again.
